Why did we pick this book?
Our entire book club loved The Inheritance Games for our August pick, so we all agreed to continue with the series in September! None of us could wait to see what happens to Avery Grambs in book 2. First, there’s the mysterious puzzle left by Tobias Hawthorne. Second, there’s the love triangle with Avery, Jameson and Grayson. What is this book about?
The Hawthorne Legacy picks up after the shocking ending of The Inheritance Games. Avery thinks she holds the key to understanding why Tobias left his billions to her. But it’s not that simple. Grayson and Jameson still try to pull her in different directions. To make things worse, more adversaries pop up who are determined to see Avery fail and lose everything. All Avery knows is that she is Tobias’s final puzzle and she will stop at nothing to understand why he chose her over his family.
