Review: Westcott High 3 by Sarah Mello 

Mello is back at it again with Westcott High 3! Make sure to check out our reviews for Westcott High and Westcott High 2.  You all know we are obsessed with this series, so we couldn’t wait to see what Sonny and co. are up to in this latest installment. Keep reading for our full thoughts! 

Sonny’s senior year is not panning out the way she planned. Her friend has been arrested for a crime she didn’t commit. She’s been framed for an ethics violation that may harm her to place at Yale. And, to make matters worse, she and her friends find themselves tied up in a murder plot. Welcome to Westcott High, where the students are cunning, and lies and secrets lurk around every corner. 

We absolutely LOVED this book. Admittedly, it was a bit darker than the first two, but we loved it and were just as invested. The Pretty Little Liars meets Gossip Girl comparison is spot on, and we literally found ourselves thinking, “this is some A type sh*t, right here!!” The plot had us sucked in from the beginning and, once again, Mello left us on a major cliff hanger. 

Westcott High 3’s plot definitely tested a lot of major relationships in the main group. Sonny and Kyle’s friendship was on the line as she grew closer to Cliff, and Kyle and Casey are still adjusting to their new living situation. Most of all, Jacob and Sonny hit a major rough patch. And tbh, we don’t blame Sonny for behaving the way she did in this book!! We’d be losing it too if we were caught up in the drama she’s in. We still found ourselves swooning over Jacob whenever he was featured. We NEED them to be endgame and overcome the big reveal at the end of the book. They both need a happy ending! 

We also found ourselves becoming Team Cliff in this book. There’s definitely more to him than meets the eye, and we can’t wait for his character to grow in the next book. 

We cannot wait to see how the group pulls themselves out of the latest mess they’re in. Sarah— don’t leave us hanging! We need book 4 ASAFP! 

Do yourself a favor, dear readers, and pick up this series— you won’t regret it!
