Happy December everyone! We can’t believe how fast 2021 has gone by. While Bards Alley doesn’t have December book clubs because of the busy holiday season, we decided to share something we’ll be reading this month anyway.
At our last book club meeting of the year, we asked everyone which of our book picks did they enjoy the most. The top three were The Cousins by Karen McManus, The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes and Realm Breaker by Victoria Aveyard.

The Book
All I Want For Christmas is the Girl Who Can’t Love will be released December 22, 2021. However, we received an ARC from NetGalley.
Why did we pick this book?
We requested this book because we love a good holiday read and this one seemed different compared to the others we’ve read because of the family history aspect. Plus, we love college YA books and haven’t read one in forever. We’re hoping for something cute, but also something that can surprise us.
What is this book about?
Savannah Mason and Jordan Merrick cross path on their college campus and get thrown together because of an archaeology site. Both are trying to take a break from their love lives, but once they come across some unexpected love letters and artifacts from the revolutionary war, they realize their connection is deeper than they expected. Will Savannah and Mason run from their growing connection or will the holiday season be the perfect time to start a new romance?
What other YA books has the author written?
Bobulski wrote Remember Me, The Wood and a collection of Christmas romance books.
This sounds like such an interesting book! I’ll have to check it out, since I’m filling my December TBR with all things Christmas-y!

I’m just about to start this one. I read Chelsea’s 3 other Christmas books that are companions to this one and I really enjoyed getting into the holiday spirit through them

We haven’t read those yet, but we saw this on NetGalley and it looked really cute.

I like the historical element here — I always enjoy that in a good story/book. Thanks for this review, it sounds pretty good!
