The Last 10 Book Tag

This tag was originally created by booktuber Marc Nash, but we found it on Read Betwixt Words. We thought it looked fun and decided to participate! Tell us what you’ve been reading in the comments!

1. The Last Book I Gave Up On

More Than Just a Pretty Face was one of our only DNFs of 2021. We couldn’t get into it at all!

2. The Last Book I Reread

We reread the original Secret Circle trilogy for Halloween last year! It’s one of our favorites and it’s perfect for the spookiest month of the year.

3. The Last Book I Bought

If you’ve been reading our blog, you know that we’re loving the Zodiac Academy series. We recently bought Zodiac Academy 3: The Reckoning and love it!

4. The Last Book I Said I Read but Actually Didn’t

So we never said we read a book we didn’t. We did, however, say we planned on reading The Upside of Falling last summer and never got around to it.

5. The Last Book I Wrote in the Margins of

We don’t write in the margins of our YA books! The only books we wrote in were books we’ve read for college and graduate school.

6. The Last Book I Had Signed

We recently got signed copies of Finding Her Edge, just in time for the winter Olympics. We love figure skating and can’t wait to start it!

7. The Last Book I Lost

So If There’s No Tomorrow by Jennifer L. Armentrout is currently missing. It has to be in the house somewhere… It’s not a testament to the book though, which is amazing!

8. The Last Book I Had to Replace

I had to replace Anna and the French Kiss after I leant it to a friend. When I got it back, the pages were doggy-eared and the cover was bent. I donated the old copy and bought myself a new one.

9. The Last Book I Argued Over

We don’t typically argue over books. However, we were sad when we found a negative review for City of Bones recently. How can you not love Jace Herondale?

10. The Last Book I Pre-Ordered

The last book we preordered was Chain of Iron by Cassandra Clare. We can’t believe it’s already been a year since the release and we still have to wait until November for Chain of Thorns.

  1. There are some cool books on your ‘last ten’ reads! I have not been reading that much lately so I have to step it up a bit but the last couple of books I’ve read have been ‘The Marrow Thieves’ and ‘Empire of Wild’ both by Cherie Dimaline (and both incredible).

  2. This is a super fun tag! I loved reading all your different answers. And I’m with you – I don’t write in my books either! I just can’t get behind marking up something I paid good money for haha. I will, however, highlight and annotate on my Kindle! 🙂

  3. Such a fun tag! I am quite intrigued by If there’s no tomorrow, so check it out now! I really find it hard lending books to people for the same reason!
