Why did we pick this book?

We’ve been waiting for Catherine Doyle to publish another YA book for years! We loved her Blood for Blood series and couldn’t wait to see how she handled YA fantasy. We knew we wanted to read Twin Crowns with our book club for May when we saw the release date. If you’d like to join us, we’ll be meeting on May 22, 2022 at 5pm EDT. What is this book about?

Twin Crowns follows twin sisters Wren and Rose, who were separated at birth. Rose was raised to rule the kingdom, while Wren was taught to steal the crown. The two sisters are about to learn more about each other in this dangerous game to rule the kingdom. Twin Crowns promises to have a lot of action and adventure for the two heroines.

What other YA books has the author written?

Catherine Doyle wrote the Blood for Blood series, one of our all-time favorites! Katherine Webber wrote Only Love Can Break Your Heart and Wing Jones.

  10. Twins have always fascinated me, and I love to incorporate them into my writing because they are an easy answer to populating my story with siblings that are going through the same experiences at the same time yet still have that rivalry element.
