Books on Our Autumn 2022 TBR

It’s finally autumn, which means it’s time to go over our TBR list for the season. This list doesn’t include the YA books on our NetGalley shelf, that we shared with all of you last week. There are so many recent and upcoming releases that we can’t wait to start reading. Spoiler alert: our October and November book club picks might be on this list.

Have you read any of our autumn book picks? Let us know in the comments and happy reading!

1. The Final Gambit by Jennifer Lynn Barnes

The Final Gambit is the third and last book in The Inheritance Games series. Avery Grambs has only a few more weeks until she can collect her money and leave the Hawthorne house. But it won’t be easy. The paparazzi are becoming aggressive and there are still more secrets to discover about the mysterious Tobias Hawthorne.

2. Rivals (American Royals III) by Katharine McGee

We we’re so excited last year when we learned that there would be a third American Royals book, Rivals. We’re currently reading Rivals and there have already been some unexpected twists, including break ups and an unlikely alliance. So far, we’re enjoying it and we’re excited to hear there’s going to be a book four.

3. How to Survive Your Murder by Danielle Valentine

Alice Lawrence is the only witness to her sister’s murder. She’s terrified of the day she has to testify and face a courtroom full of people. But the day of the trial, Alice is knocked out and wakes up to the day her sister was killed. Alice has only a few hours to save her sister before the killer takes another victim. Set on Halloween night in a corn maze, How to Survive Your Murder is the perfect spooky book for October.

4. Five Survive by Holly Jackson

If you’re fans of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, then you we’re probably ecstatic to hear about Jackson’s latest: Five Survive. A Spring Break road trip turns deadly for a group of friends when their RV breaks down in the middle of nowhere. But the tires blowing out are no accident. One person in the RV has a secret that someone is willing to kill for.

5. Zodiac Academy 8 by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti

While Zodiac Academy 8: Sorrow and Starlight releases in December, we’re still waiting on an official description. Zodiac 7: Heartless Sky ended with many cliffhangers, so we’re excited (and nervous) to see what happens to the Vega twins and the Celestial Heirs.

6. Wait for Me by Sara Shepard

An ARC for Wait for Me just arrived in the mail and we couldn’t be happier to read a book from one of our favorite authors. We loved the Pretty Little Liars series and The Amateurs series. Wait for Me promises to be an enticing psychological thriller about a college student with series déjà vu.

7. These Twisted Bonds by Lexi Ryan

We read These Hollow Vows earlier this year and really enjoyed the fantasy series set in fae. We had a lot of unanswered questions that we can’t wait to learn the truth about in These Twisted Bonds. There’s sure to be plenty of danger and romance.

8. The Witch Hunt by Sasha Peyton Smith

We we’re excited to receive a digital copy of The Witch Hunt, the sequel to The Witch Haven. The series is set in 1911 New York City and follows the witches of Haxhaven Academy. The Witch Hunt picks up a few months after we last left Frances after a major battle. With the first book being full of twists and betrayal, we’re curious to see where the sequel will go next.

9. London Prep 7: The Choice by Jillian Dodd

Sadly, we don’t have a cover or description for London Prep 7: The Choice yet. We do know it will release on December 13th and we can’t wait. Mallory James has big decision to make and boy do we have strong opinions about it. #TeamNoah

10. So, This is Christmas by Tracy Andreen

When spooky season comes to an end, we’re excited to start our holiday romance reading. We’ve had So, This is Christmas on our TBR for a long time and can’t wait to start this romcom set in Christmas, Oklahoma. Based on the description, it sounds hilarious and like a fun light-hearted read to kickoff the holiday season.
