Why did we pick this book?

We couldn’t wait to read Urban’s latest YA book. We enjoyed her first two books and thought her new release would be the perfect read for a book club discussion. It’s been a few months since we picked a mystery or thriller for our book club, so everyone was in the mood to read one.

We also found ourselves interested in the plot of the story. It’s a mystery set on a cruise ship, which definitely ups the stakes. We’re curious to see what happens and we hope that Urban has some surprises in store for us.

What is this book about?

Jade is ready to escape her ex-boyfriend and her ex-best friend after they betrayed her. She thought a semester at sea would be the perfect chance for a fresh start. But when the two show up on the ship, Jade can’t help but become obsessed with them.

At the same time, something strange is going on on the ship, which leads to a surprising murder. With the help of her new crush, Jade has to solve the mystery before anyone else gets hurt or Jade gets blamed for what happened. Why would Jade get blamed? We have to wait and see.
