YA Books with Jewish Representation to Read for Hanukkah

In recent years, we’ve seen more YA books with Jewish representation. This is great for diversity in literature and for gift giving during the holiday season. If you’re buying Hanukkah gifts for someone who celebrates or just on the lookout for reading inspiration, these YA books should definitely be considered. Our Favorite YA Books of 2021

It’s almost the end of the year, which means it’s time to go through our books for the year and name the top 10! Remember, these are books that were released in 2021. While technically The Cousins released in December 2020, it was our January 2021 book club pick and Goodreads included in its 2021 reader’s choice awards.

1. The Cousins by Karen McManus

As one of our first reads of 2021, The Cousins did not disappoint. Karen McManus has become one of our automatic buy authors since her mysteries always keep us on the edge of our seats. Everyone in out book club enjoyed McManus’s writing style, character development and twisty plot. The Cousins follows Aubrey, Jonah and Milly Story as they meet their grandmother for the first time on a mysterious island off the coast of Massachusetts. If you like complex family dynamics and dark plot twists, this book is for you.

YA Books to Read During the 2021 Holiday Season

‘Tis the season! We love this time of a year and we’re also a sucker for a cute holiday romance. Now that Thanksgiving is officially over, it’s time to get into the holiday spirit. We put together a list of 15 books to help you celebrate Hanukkah, Christmas, the Winter Solstice and New Year’s Eve. 

Whatever you celebrate, have a great holiday season filled with fun, family, friends and books! Now excuse us while we go grab a cozy blanket, get a cup of hot chocolate and dive into some holiday reads.

Hanna’s Hanukkah isn’t off to a good start, Aria’s Winter Solstice leads to a shocking discovery, Emily’s Christmas plans lead to an arrest and Spencer gets into a New Year’s Eve competition. We love this hilarious and dramatic addition to one of our favorite series.
