We’ve been waiting for Catherine Doyle to publish another YA book for years! We loved her Blood for Blood series and couldn’t wait to see how she handled YA fantasy. What is this book about?
Cleo receives a mysterious invitation for a scavenger hunt on her 18th birthday. Thinking it’s a gift from a friend, Cleo and her best friend Hope embark on the journey. While we actually read 66 books in 2021, it’s impossible to know if we can repeat it this year. We hope to read even more books, but we have to balance it with other life responsibilities. Happy December everyone! We can’t believe how fast 2021 has gone by. While Bards Alley doesn’t have December book clubs because of the busy holiday season, we decided to share something we’ll be reading this month anyway.
At our last book club meeting of the year, we asked everyone which of our book picks did they enjoy the most. The top three were The Cousins by Karen McManus, The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes and Realm Breaker by Victoria Aveyard.
