We haven’t done a book haul since March, she we thought it was time to do another. Christy’s birthday is in September and she’s sharing the books she received this year.

Chain of Gold was easily our favorite read of 2020. We can’t wait for Lucie, James, Matthew, Cordelia and the rest of the gang to take on a killer and keep London safe. Chain of Iron promises to be exciting, romantic and full of plot twists. March 2nd can’t come soon enough!

Claire met JLA at her YA/NA event, Apollycon, in 2018! Claire has been a fan of Armentrout’s since 2012, so she fangirled hardcore when she finally got to meet her. Who wouldn’t want to meet the mind behind Aiden St. Delphi. Armentrout is as fabulous as she seems on social media— so fun and charming. Her event was amazing and we’d definitely love to go again post-COVID. She even brought in the actor that plays Seth in her promos. Claire took a pic with him and JLA— ha!

This book, about a 16-year old Muslim girl navigating life post-9/11, has been on our to-read list for a while! Mafi is one of Claire’s favorite authors, and we can’t wait to read this book. Exciting news readers: we have partnered with Bards Alley, our local bookstore in Vienna, VA , for a virtual YA book club on Monday, July 20 at 7 pm! We will be discussing this book. Summer Constellations is really great for family relationships. Julie is very protective of her bother Caleb. Caleb and Nick developed a friendship that made the romance in the story even more genuine. While the romance makes you want to spend the summer at a lake with a hot guy, Julie’s first priority is her family. Julie enlists Nick and her family to come up with marketing ideas to boost the family business to prevent selling to the developers.
