This is Halloween, everybody scream! We’ve mentioned before that we absolutely love this time of year. It’s perfect for picking up a spooky read while drinking apple cider. Christy enjoys everything about Halloween, especially reading books and watching movies to get into the spirit.

We love when young adult books have romance. It doesn’t matter if it’s a fantasy, thriller, mystery or contemporary. Bring us the romance and the swoonworthy book boyfriends. Below you’ll find some of our favorite guys in YA!
Unfortunately, we haven’t found guys for the letter I, U, V and Y. If you can think of YA guys whose names start with any of these four letters let us know in the comments.
A. Ash, Killing November by Adriana Mather
We loved Ash in Killing Novemberand Hunting November. He’s sweet, a total badass and always there for November. The two don’t have the easiest time since someone is always out to get them, but they protect each other no matter what. We loved Ash’s quick wit and ability to read people. He’s the perfect YA book boyfriend for a thriller.
Hunting November picks up where Killing November left off at Academy Absconditti. The secret is out. After November learned the truth about why she started school at the mysterious academy and who was out to get her, she’s ready to leave. She knows her dad is in danger and hopes he left a trail of clues behind. She’s determined to get to him before its too late.
Welcome to a new series on our blog, where we spill all of our recent book purchases. Claire is going to start us off with her latest purchases since Christy is in the midst of reading her Christmas presents and has been on a no-buy.
Let’s get started!
I should start off by saying that a new year brings a new Goodreads goal, and I am determined to get to 50 books. I had to start off 2021 with a bang (sorry bank account!). So, what books have I bought so far this year? Keep on reading to gather some *bookspo* (book + inspo…ha..get it?). Moving on…
1. Killing November by Adriana Mather
Christy read Killing November and has been trying to get me to pull the trigger for months. Well, friends, January was the month I finally succumbed to the peer pressure. Here’s our full review of the book. I freaking LOVED it— the romance, the plot, the characters. EVERYTHING! The hype was real and I cannot wait to read book 2, which leads me to my next purchase…
November Adley’s life changes instantly when she arrives at Academy Absconditi. 1) She has no idea where the school is located. 2) Instead of math and english, she’s enrolled in knife throwing, body language reading and accents. 3) The students are ruthless and competitive to the point where November fears her physical safety.
