Around the World with YA Books

Want to travel the world? Us too! Unfortunately, we don’t always have the time or money. Reading can be the best escape to travel to far away lands. To help inspire your wanderlust, we came up with a list of YA books set in countries around the world. Did we miss any countries that you can think of a YA book for? Every night that Khalid, the eighteen-year-old Caliph of Khorasan, takes a bride, they die. When Shahrzad volunteers to be his next bride, she realizes that Khalid is not the monster she imagined him to be.

Review: I See London, I See France by Sarah Mlynowski

Sydney cannot wait to embark on her first European adventure with her best friend, Leela. Leela was supposed to go with her boyfriend, but they broke up right before the end of their freshman year of college.

Desperate to still go on an adventure, Leela asks Sydney to use her savings so they can backpack through Europe together. This doesn’t happen without complication though, because Sydney is anxious to leave her younger sister with her anxiety ridden mother for over a month. However, after a stressful first year of college, Sydney is in desperate need of some fun.
