In recent years, we’ve seen more YA books with Jewish representation. This is great for diversity in literature and for gift giving during the holiday season. If you’re buying Hanukkah gifts for someone who celebrates or just on the lookout for reading inspiration, these YA books should definitely be considered. We’ll read anything that Karen McManus writes at this point! Nothing More to Tell follows Brynn, who left an elite school after her favorite teacher was murdered. Four years later, Brynn is determined to find exactly what happened. She knows someone at that school got away with murder, but who? McManus mysteries always keep us guessing and we can’t wait to pick this one up on August 30th.

Hanna’s Hanukkah isn’t off to a good start, Aria’s Winter Solstice leads to a shocking discovery, Emily’s Christmas plans lead to an arrest and Spencer gets into a New Year’s Eve competition. We love this hilarious and dramatic addition to one of our favorite series.

Clare wrote the perfect start to her new shadowhunter series. I loved seeing Will, Tessa and Jem as adults. Plus, the next generation is just as exciting. Set in Edwardian London, James, Lucie, Matthew, Cordelia and their friends deal with demon attacks increase around the city. This book had everything: adventure, romance and mystery. Chain of Iron will hopefully be just as amazing in 2021. I need more Matthew Fairchild!

But when Jake Kaplan starts working there, Shoshana and him clash immediately. He doesn’t read, yet he works at a bookstore and he’s totally obnoxious. To top it all off, her mom’s have been fighting more than usual and her car, Barbra Streisand, broke down. Shoshana needs to come up with the money for repairs.

In this fantasy book, all characters are descendants of Greek Gods and Goddesses. Avery is about to turn 18, which means it’s time for the Gathering, where she is supposed to find her soulmate. One problem: Avery doesn’t want a soulmate, she wants to escape.
We requested an ARC of Entwined on Netgallery because of the Greek mythology aspect! We can’t wait to finish this one.
