We plan on updating this post when McManus releases her next book! Are you a McManus fan? Let us know your rankings in the comments!

1. The Cousins

Milly, Aubrey and Jonah Story have never met their grandmother. Years ago, she disinherited their parents and cut off all contact. Out of the blue, she sends them letters inviting them to stay at her resort on a small island off the coast of Massachusetts. Only, it’s a lot more complicated than that. When they arrive on the island, nobody seems to expect them. Their grandmother keeps them at arms length, but the more time the cousins spend on the island, the more they learn about their family secrets.

Karen McManus is one of the biggest names in YA. Her debut book, One of Us is Lying, turned into an over-night bestseller. We were so excited when we heard that Peacock was turning it into a TV show. However, we’re always nervous that the TV show won’t stay true to the book. Below, check out the biggest differences between the book and the TV show.

Warning: Spoilers if you haven’t read or watched One of Us is Lying.

Summer Book Tag 2021

We found this fun summer book tag from Sweet & Sunny Living and decided to participate.
Last year our Summer Book Tag featured books with the word summer in the title. This year it’s books that make us think about summer.

1. Iced Drink: A Refreshing Book

Glimpsed by G.F. Miller was fun, sweet and such a refreshing book because we’ve never read anything like it. If you’re looking for a creative and quirky YA romance, this book is for you! Charity is fairy godmother and the disgruntled ex of one of her Cindies (clients), is determined to expose Charity for destroying people’s lives (or so he thinks). In exchange for helping the adorkable Noah win back his ex, he will keep his mouth shut about Charity’s fairy godmother status.

1. If you liked The Hunger Games, read The Testing

The Testing Trilogy (3 book series) Kindle Edition

The Testing by Joelle Charbonneau is an underrated YA series, and is basically a more intellectual version of The Hunger Games. Only the brightest can help bring back the country.

Cia believes that if she doesn’t pass her tests, then she’ll go back to her normal life. However, once students start disappearing, she realizes the price for failure is a lot higher than she ever imagined.

One of Us is Next is the highly anticipated sequel to one of our fave YA murder mysteries, One of Us Is Lying. It’s eighteen months after Simon’s death and the students of Bayview High are finally getting back to normal. Students have tried and failed to re-create Simon’s gossip app, but none have had quite the same wow-factor as About That. That is, until students get texts from Unknown announcing a new game, Truth or Dare.
