Looking for some book gift ideas for the people in your life? We love to give and receive books. Check out the list of our recommended YA books. Some of these are even on our personal wish list this year.
Happy Fall everyone!! We found this book tag a while ago and made sure to schedule it the first week of fall. It’s our favorite time of year and we couldn’t wait to participate. While we tagged seven bloggers below, feel free to participate if we didn’t tag you, especially if you love this season as much as we do.
Happy Labor Day everyone! With summer season coming to an end, we thought we would participate in one last fun book tag before we switch over to spooky season. We have to admit, this is our favorite time of year. September and October always bring beautiful weather and fun activities.
Top Chef meets Love From Scratch in Schmitt’s Where There’s a Wisk. Peyton Sinclaire wants to escape her terrible life in North Florida. When she gets a chance to compete on Top Teen Chef, Food TV’s new reality show, Peyton jumps at the chance to spend the summer in Manhattan.
The winner receives a culinary scholarship, which would change Peyton’s life. But things aren’t so easy when you have people out to get you, snarky judges and cameras in your face 24/7. With seven other teen chefs competing for the prize, Peyton doesn’t know who she can trust and who has the fake TV persona.
It’s after the holiday season and we’re getting back to normal life. At least, I have a lot of great books to start reading. I love getting books for Christmas and then curling up with one in front of the tree. I was lucky that I got nine books from family and friends. Did you get or give any books this year? Let us know in the comments.
1. Barcelona and Catalonia
While not a YA book, I absolutely love to travel. I can’t wait to one day get to Barcelona, Spain!
Do you want to travel right now but you don’t have the time? We can help by providing our readers with book recommendations! The YA City Guide is a new feature on our blog where we recommend great books set in a major city. If you haven’t already, check out our previous city guides for Paris and London.
This YA City Guide is all about New York City! The city that never sleeps. The Big Apple. We admit, we became obsessed with NYC because of Gossip Girl. We used to dream of strolling the streets of the Upper East Side like Blair and Serena.
Keep reading to learn about some of our favorite YA books set in NYC! Did we mention any of your favorites? Let us know in the comments.
