In the latest Shadowhunter Chronicles series installment, take a trip back in time to Edwardian London, England. Chain of Gold is the first book in Clare’s latest Shadowhunter trilogy, The Last Hours.
We’ve read some great (and not so great!) books in 2019. Here’s a greatest hits list of some of our faves. We can’t wait to see which books make our list in 2020! Tell us if you’ve read any of these in the comments. Also, tell us your best books of 2019 books!
1. Serpent and Dove by Shelby Mahurin
We’ve raved about this book since we read it for our monthly book club. For more info, check out our full review here. Serpent and Dove has it all: romance, action, magic, and witty banter. Lou is a witch who has fled her coven, forced to become a thief to survive. After a run in with a witch hunter named Reid, Lou’s life changes forever. As the two grow closer, she has to deal with the demons from her past before they ruin her relationship.
We love all the Shadowhunter books! In fact, Cassandra Clare is one of our favorite authors. We decided to share which Myers-Briggs matches the character from The Infernal Devices, The Mortal Instruments and The Dark Artifices. Tell us your Myers-Briggs in the comments and if you relate to the character who matches you! We’re an ENTJ and an INFJ.
ENFJ: The Protagonist
Will Herondale fits the ENFJ personality description. ENFJs are known for being strong leaders, charismatic, passionate and intense. They also take their relationships very seriously and want long-term commitment. Just like Will with Tessa!
INFJ: The Advocate
Jem Carstairs embodies the characteristics of the INFJ. INFJs are sensitive, compassionate and always want to do what’s right. They’re also known for their creativity, just like Jem and his love of music.
