14 Couples to Swoon Over for Valentine’s Day
With Valentine’s Day around the corner, we always crave a book with a swoon-worthy romance. We’ve lined up 14 of our fave YA couples to get you in the Valentine’s Day spirit. Tell us your favorite down below!
1. Xander and Caymen: The Distance Between Us by Kasie West
Caymen couldn’t stand Xander the first time she met him. In her mind, every rich person was trouble. Xander keeps showing up and convincing Caymen to spend time with him. The two had more in common than they thought…they both felt their parents dictate their future careers. That’s when they created career days. They’d each plan a day to help the other to decide what to do with their lives. The chemistry could not be denied in West’s first contemporary YA. Xander charmed us instantly and we loved Caymen’s dry sense of humor. The two may be stubborn, but they brought out the best in each other. The Distance Between Us is one of our favorite books from West.Continue reading “14 Couples to Swoon Over for Valentine’s Day”

Halloween Book Tag
This is Halloween, everybody scream! October is such a fun month. The leaves are changing (at least up north), Halloween decorations start, and people get ready to read and watch something spooky. Last year we came up with a list of 31 YA Books to Read Before Halloween. This year, we created a Halloween book tag.
Get ready for some mysteries, thrillers and horrors. After all, what’s Halloween season without a spooky book. What’s your favorite October read? Let us know in the comments!
1. Favorite Scary Book
Don’t Look Back by Jennifer L. Armentrout. Samantha wakes up from a horrible accident with amnesia. She has no idea how she came to be involved in the terrible accident that led to the death of her best friend, Cassie. Before the accident, Samantha had the perfect life: the hottest boyfriend, endless wealth, and a posse of friends. After she wakes up, Samantha tries to reinvent herself and grows closer to her brother’s best friend while the two try to piece together the night of Cassie’s death. This book had a very shocking ending full of many twist and turns. It kept us up at night after finishing just thinking about it. The mystery was engaging and left you dying (pun intended) to piece together the night of Cassie’s death. Definitely snag this one if you are looking for an excellent thriller with an equally stellar romance!Continue reading “Halloween Book Tag”

Our Favorite Jennifer L. Armentrout Books!
In honor of Jennifer L. Armentrout’s upcoming release, we have made a ranked list of our favorite JLA novels. Check out JLA’s newest book, The Burning Shadow, out on October 8th!
Note: since JLA is a writing goddess, she has a lot of books, most of which are series. For the purposes of this list, we grouped her series together instead of listing out individual books. For example, JLA’s novel, Half-Blood, is group with the Covenant series, etc. Also, we are only ranking JLA’s YA novels, though, she has written many romance and New Adult books if those are more your speed!
Claire had the honor of meeting JLA at her YA/Romance book convention, Apollycon, and she was the sweetest human! JLA is one of our favorite authors and all of her books are worth checking out. We hope you enjoy them the way we have!Continue reading “Our Favorite Jennifer L. Armentrout Books!”
