Books on Our NetGalley Shelf Part 2

So much to do, so much to read. We’ve been trying not to request too many books on NetGalley so we can have a more reasonable TBR pile and a strong reading percentage. This fall, we have some great books on our NetGalley line up.

We’ve read books by Lynn Painter and Emma Lord before, but were also excited to read books from three new authors. Have you read any of these ARCs yet? Let us know in the comments.

1. Talk Santa to Me by Linda Urban

Talk Santa to Me promises to be a hilarious and adorable romcom full of Christmas cheer. The description gave us Grandma Got Runover by a Reindeer meets a Hallmark movie vibes. All Francie wants is to have the perfect holiday season, stop her aunt from making the family store too corporate and kiss the cute boy next door.

1. When did you first realize that you wanted to be a writer?

Growing up, I was a voracious reader who constantly had a book in my hand. Spelling and reading came naturally to me in school, and I always enjoyed writing assignments. Lit was always my favorite subject.

So how didn’t I know? Why did it never occur to me? Pick up a pen, past Lynn! It wasn’t until after I was married and had a baby that my sister said, “I saw an author on Oprah. You read all the time – maybe you should write a book.”

It was an absurd statement, but I actually started writing my first (awful) book that very week. I guess I owe Oprah Winfrey a huge thank you!
