Spring Book Tag

Since it’s finally spring and we’ve enjoyed reading outside again recently, we though it was time to create a seasonal book tag. We decided it would be fun to come up with our own spring book tag and ask fellow book bloggers to participate.

We’re not going to tag anyone right now. But we do encourage everyone to participate because we would love to read your answers. Check out our prompts and answers below. And if you decide to participate, don’t forget to tag us.

This blog post is all about our spring book tag!

YA Books About Prom

It’s prom season now so we’re celebrating by sharing some YA books that feature this important coming of age dance. Prom is such a prominent night for high school students and it’s a big deal to the characters in the books below. So get out your sparkly dresses and fancy tuxes, we’re going back to high school in these stories. Do you know of a prom YA book that we missed? Let us know in the comments!

1. The Night When No One Had Sex by Kalena Miller

The Night When No One Sex skipped over the dance and went right to this group of friends getting ready for a crazy night without parental supervision. Prom is so romanticized and Miller chose to turn it into a comedy of errors. Right after the dance, this group of friends goes to a cabin in the woods to all have sex with their prom dates. Unfortunately, nothing goes as planned, making it a night they’ll never forget. This book is completely hilarious and is perfect for people who want to read about an unconventional prom night.

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! It’s the season of love and there’s no better way to celebrate than with a book tag. We got this tag from The Sassy Book Geek and knew we wanted to participate. Let us know your favorite YA romances or just books you love in general in the comments.

1. A Stand Alone Book You Love

Annie Lucas’s life changes in the blink of an eye when her dad gets offered the pitching coach position for the Kansas City Royals. But it’s off-limits to fall for the hot rookie pitcher, Jason Brody, when your dad is his coach. Except, Brody’s always at the house and Annie can’t get him out of her head. Whatever Life Throws at You is perfect for fans of sports and romance. This is one of our favorite YA romances because of our love of baseball and the chemistry between Annie and Brody. It’s the perfect Valentine’s Day read.

The ABCs of YA Book Boyfriends

We love when young adult books have romance. It doesn’t matter if it’s a fantasy, thriller, mystery or contemporary. Bring us the romance and the swoonworthy book boyfriends. Below you’ll find some of our favorite guys in YA!

Unfortunately, we haven’t found guys for the letter I, U, V and Y. If you can think of YA guys whose names start with any of these four letters let us know in the comments.

A. Ash, Killing November by Adriana Mather

We loved Ash in Killing November and Hunting November. He’s sweet, a total badass and always there for November. The two don’t have the easiest time since someone is always out to get them, but they protect each other no matter what. We loved Ash’s quick wit and ability to read people. He’s the perfect YA book boyfriend for a thriller.

We’ve seen other bloggers participate in this tag and we thought it looked fun! In this tag we share some of our favorites, least favorites and other opinions.

1. How Many Books are Too Many Books in a Series?

Book Review: The Mortal Instruments – Confessions of a Book Geek

For the most part, we usually stick with trilogies for series. However, it depends. A few of our favorite series are 4+ books, including The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare and Pretty Little Liars by Sara Shepard. As long as we still like the story, we’ll keep reading.

Kasie West’s Contemporary Books Ranked

As you can probably tell, we’re huge Kasie West fans and have been for many years. We eagerly anticipate all of her new releases and love almost everything that she writes. However, there are some books we definitely prefer over others. That’s why we ranked Kasie West’s books—to help readers know where to start.

This post will be updated when West releases new books—but for now, here are her current YA contemporary books. We left off Pivot Point and Split Second because they are fantasy/paranormal YA. Though that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t read them though. We’re huge fans of her paranormal duology, it’s just hard to compare it to the rest of her books because they are so different.

We have a tie for the number one spot because we just couldn’t decide between two of West’s most dreamy love interests and engaging stories. Let us know your favorite YA books from West in the comments.

This blog post is all about Kasie West’s books.
