Recently we’ve enjoyed seeing other book bloggers participate in the birthstone book covers every month. Seeing those posts made us wonder if there was a birthstone book tag out there. Well, we found it!
Finally, seven months after reading Zodiac Academy 7: Heartless Sky, we’ve finished Zodiac Academy 8: Sorrow and Starlight. The book starts right where the previous left us off, at the end of a huge battle between Lionel Acrux’s loyalists and the resistance.
Everything has changed for the Vega twins. With Darcy Vega cursed by Lavinia, Darcy has no choice but to leave the resistance, since she’s a danger to everyone she loves. Tory Vega is trying to recover from the worst day of her life, while also trying to rebuild her troops.
Five years before the events of the Zodiac Academy series, a different group of Fae at Aurora Academy have a story to tell. Elise Callisto is out for vengeance. After her brother Gareth Tempa was murdered by one of the four kings of Aurora Academy, Elise is determined to get her revenge. The only problem is that Aurora Academy has four kings: Gabriel Nox, Leon Night, Dante Oscura and Ryder Draconis.
These four guys rule the school and professors almost let them get away with anything. But getting near them could be dangerous, especially Dante and Ryder, who are going to become leaders of waring gangs upon graduation. Nothing is safe about this school and Elise has to accept that risk if she’s ever going to get answers.
It’s no secret that we love the Zodiac Academy series by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti. We discovered the series on Amazon earlier this year and immediately became addicted. We’re so excited that Zodiac Academy 8: Sorrow and Starlight releases in December, so we created a guide in preparation.
We did learn recently that book 8 will no longer be the final book in the series. There will be a Zodiac Academy 9, but we don’t have any details yet.
Happy spooky season everyone! This tag was created by Shelby Masako and we found it to be really fun. We love Halloween and fall in general, so we thought this tag would be perfect for October.
Happy Labor Day everyone! With summer season coming to an end, we thought we would participate in one last fun book tag before we switch over to spooky season. We have to admit, this is our favorite time of year. September and October always bring beautiful weather and fun activities.
After finishing Zodiac Academy 7:Heartless Sky, we were desperate to get back to Solaria and our favorite characters. We decided to pick up Zodiac Academy: The Awakening As Told by the Boys, where the Celestial Heirs and Lance Orion get to tell their side of Zodiac Academy: The Awakening. Unlike the rest of the series, the first book is only told from Tory’s and Darcy’s POV.
We left Tory Vega, Darcy Vega and the Heirs after they went to battle with Lionel Acrux. After everything that happened, none of them can go back to Zodiac Academy. Luckily Geraldine’s dad and other anti-Lionel Fae have set up a safe bunker far away from the palace.
But everything has changed now and there’s no going back to normal for anyone, especially the Heirs, who Lionel has stripped of their titles for standing against him. To make things more complicated, Darius made a promise to the stars…that no one knows about. He’s ready to face the consequences, yet everyone he knows would try to stop him.
Nobody is safe in Solaria and with a civil war brewing and all Fae most pick a side. Stand with the Vegas or let Lionel and is Nymph army continue the totalitarian rule.
A few weeks after the shocking events in Zodiac Academy 5: Cursed Fates, Darcy Vega and the Celestial Heirs are desperate to save Tory Vega from Lionel Acrux. It’s been a tough summer and the group is ready for another year at Zodiac Academy.
In need of a YA series to binge? We have some awesome recommendations for series to read through immediately. Whether you want something cute and fluffy for summer, or a dark thriller for autumn, we have something for everyone.
1. Pretty Little Liars by Sara Shepard
Pretty Little Liars became a cult classic when the TV show released in 2010. But, we think the books are much better. Three years after Alison DeLaurentis disappears, former friends Aria, Spencer, Hanna and Emily start receiving mysterious text messages from someone named A. Pretty Little Liars is a perfect binge series because there are 16 books and two companion novels. Just get ready, the YA series is full of thrills and is even darker than the show.
